Find the Right Spinner Domino Set
Whether you’re looking for a substantial tournament set, a portable leather case or more tiles for larger games, Alex Cramer offers domino sets with spinners for every style of play.
For Traditional Double-6 Play
A Double-6 set includes 28 dominoes and is the traditional choice for two to four players. Choose the #66 Spinning Sixes or #950 Le Club with Spinners for a handcrafted walnut case, or the #444 Tournament Traveler with Spinners for a set designed to travel.
For Larger Games
Double-9 sets include 55 dominoes, making them well suited to larger groups and games such as Mexican Train and Chickenfoot. Choose #100 The Nines with Spinners in a handcrafted walnut case or #69s Double-9’s with Spinners in a leather travel case.
For Tournament-Size Dominoes
Our tournament-size dominoes measure 2⅛" × 1⅛" × 7/16" and weigh approximately 25 grams each. Their larger proportions provide a substantial feel and make the pips easier to see across the table.
For Travel
The #444 Tournament Traveler with Spinners combines 28 tournament-size Double-6 dominoes with a compact leather case. For players who want the expanded play of a Double-9 set, the #69s Double-9’s with Spinners offers 55 tiles in a portable leather case.
Why Do Dominoes Have Spinners?
A spinner is the small metal pin set into the center of a domino. Originally added to protect the face of the tile during shuffling, it also allows the domino to rotate smoothly on the table. Alex Cramer spinner sets feature solid brass spinners for a traditional look and feel.
Spinner Dominoes FAQ
Do spinners change how dominoes are played?
No. The metal spinner built into a domino does not change its value or the rules of the game. In some games, the word “spinner” also refers to a double that can be played from multiple sides, but that is separate from the physical brass spinner in the tile.
Are dominoes with spinners easier to shuffle?
Spinners lift the face of each tile slightly away from the playing surface, helping the dominoes rotate and move during shuffling while reducing contact between the tile face and the table.
Should I choose Double-6 or Double-9 dominoes?
Choose Double-6 for traditional games with two to four players. Choose Double-9 if you regularly play with a larger group or want a set suited to Mexican Train, Chickenfoot and other extended domino games.
Are all Alex Cramer dominoes available with spinners?
No. Some sets are made with traditional brass spinners, while others have smooth, spinner-free faces. This collection includes only Alex Cramer domino sets with spinners.
Are Alex Cramer spinner dominoes guaranteed?
Yes. Every Alex Cramer domino set is backed by our lifetime guarantee against lost or broken dominoes.
